Seattle's Intiman Theatre Announces 2007 Season

Single tickets will be available for the 2007 35th Anniversay Season of the Intiman Theatre on Saturday, March 31 at noon. Intiman, which won the 2006 Tony Award for Outstanding Regional Theatre, will also be celebrating its 20th anniversary of the opening of the Intiman Playhouse at Seattle Center and the 10th anniversary of the holiday production, Black Nativity.

Kick-starting the season will be Craig Lucas and Adam Guettel's musical The Light in the Piazza, which will play April 17–29 at The Paramount Theatre, co-presented by Broadway Across America – Seattle, Intiman and Seattle Theatre Group. The Skin of Our Teeth (Thornton Wilder), directed by Bartlett Sher

One of Wilder's two Pulitzer Prize-winning shows (the other being Our Town), this Adam & Eve-inspired comedy is a tribute to man's implacability against all sorts of disasters over 5,000 years.

Uncle Vanya (Anton Chekhov), adapted by Craig Lucas and directed by Bartlett Sher

Following Sher and Lucas' 2005 adaptation of Three Sisters, the two have now collaborated on a fresh revision of Chekhov's tragicomic story of people acting on their passions.

Prayer for My Enemy (Craig Lucas), directed by Bartlett Sher

A world premiere of Lucas' new show, about childhood friends unexpectedly reunited as adults, maintaining a love for each other through adulthood's new obstacles.

To Kill a Mockingbird (Harper Lee), adapted by Christopher Sergel and directed by Fracaswell Hyman.

One of the most acclaimed American novels and films of all time, Harper Lee's story about a lawyer defending a black man in 1930s Alabama will be Intiman's 2007 American Cycle Production.

Black Nativity (Langston Hughes), directed by Jacqueline Moscou

Intiman's song and dance holiday tradition continues, featuring Pastor, Patrinell Wright, the Reverend Dr. Samuel B. McKinney, gospel performances by the Total Experience Gospel Choir and the Black Nativity Choir, choreography performed by an ensemble of dancers, and an on-stage band.

Previews: November 28 and 29 at 7:30 pm, November 30 at 8 pm
Opening Night: December 1 at 8 pm
Pay What You Can: December 6 at 7:30 pm
Close: December 28 at 8 pm

Tickets for all shows range from $10—$48, save for To Kill a Mockingbird, which range from $10—$50.
Discounts are available for groups of 10 or more. Patrons aged 25 and under can purchase tickets to any performance for $10, pending availability. A limited number of $20 rush tickets may be available for purchase 15 minutes before curtain time, pending availability.
