David Schwimmer will headline the London production of Neil LaBute's new play, Some Girls, which starts previews on May 12th at the Gielgud Theatre before opening on May 24th.

The play, which is directed by David Grindley, concerns a man (Schwimmer) whose impending nuptials prompt him to visit four ex-girlfriends played by Saffron Burrows, Lesley Manville, Sara Powell and Catherine Tate.

Schwimmer, who starred as Ross on Friends for almost 10 years, co-founded Chicago's Looking Glass Theatre Company.  Screen credits include Madagascar, Six Days Seven Nights and The Pallbearer.

LaBute, a prolific playwright, director, screenwriter and author of short stories, has penned such plays as bash: latter-day plays, The Distance From Here, The Shape of Things and This is How it Goes.  The latter piece, which debuted at the Public Theatre this year, will receive its UK premiere in tandem with the production of Some Girls.  Described as "dissecting an inter-racial love triangle whilst questioning our notions of truth," This is How it Goes will be directed by Moises Kaufman at the Donmar Warehouse.
