Schimmel Center Presents Hamilton Star Mandy Gonzalez In Solo Show On September 29

Schimmel Center presents Hamilton star Mandy Gonzalez in a solo show on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. as part of its 2018-19 Season Launch Weekend.

The Season Launch Weekend additionally includes a solo show by Caroline Rhea (known for her portrayal of Aunt Hilda on Sabrina, The Teenage Witch as well as hosting NBC's The Biggest Loser and Game Show Network's newest half-hour series Caroline & Friends) the previous evening, on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 7:30 p.m.

Mandy garnered attention for originating the role of Nina in the Broadway cast of the Tony-Award winning musical In the Heights, and currently is appearing as Angelica Schuyler in Hamilton. Her solo show will feature songs from her new EP, Fearless: B Sides-a follow-up to her debut album, Fearless, released in 2017 on Ghostlight Records. Fearless: B Sides includes songs such as "I Only Have Eyes for You," "Bein' Green," and her first ever Spanish language recording, "Vivir Mi Vida." The title song of the album, written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, utilizes Mandy's personal story to explore political and familial issues.

Tickets are available at www.schimmelcenter.org, by calling 212-346-1715 or by visiting the box office located at 3 Spruce Street. The Schimmel Center box office is open Tuesdays through Saturday from Noon to 5:00 p.m. and three hours prior to performances.
