Sasquatched! The Musical by Minnesota composer and author Phil Darg has been selected for the New York Musical Theatre's 2013 Next Link showcase and will premier in July 2013. This production of Sasquatched! The Musical represents a rare opportunity for a musical theater piece from Minnesota to be highlighted in a New York City venue.

Sasquatched! The Musical - description:
"Bigfoot exists - but he's different than you think! Arthur the Sasquatch is an intelligent, gentle, loquacious, and dignified creature. When he becomes lost in Columbia National Park, he is befriended by young Sam. Together, they encounter quirky locals and elude a ruthless TV crew investigating "Bigfoot" - as the stage erupts into hilarious social commentary on human-Sasquatch relations and a fun, rockin' musical romp through the woods."

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (www.NYMF.org) is the premier annual musical theater event which presents new musicals in an Off-Broadway venue. Productions chosen for the Next Link showcase are selected through a double-blind process presided over by a judging committee of industry professionals, including Tony award winners and nominees.
