Oceanside Parkway, the new play by Eric Sanders (Dread Awakening), will have its world premiere May 12th at the American Place Theatre (520 8th Ave., 22nd Floor).

Directed by Steven Gillenwater, the play will be presented as part of Working Man's Clothes' "More For Your Money '06" Festival, and will run in conjunction with Bekah (To Ninevah) Brunstetter's new one-act play, Arms, directed by Will Neuman.

"Oceanside Parkway concerns a young woman, Susan, who is resorting to insane medical procedures in order to produce a baby, while her boyfriend Melvin becomes increasingly desperate to get rid of her. Soon, the horrific and the hilarious intermingle until they become impossible to differentiate," according to press notes. The cast includes Steve Barcus, Amy Blue, Allison Hope, Alaina Noel, Shira Price, and Cole Wimpee.

Arms "is about a pair of recently separated Siamese twins – Sis and Sam – who attempt to reconcile their differences in a neighborhood park while Sam's new girlfriend waits in the car." The cast includes Christian Ahlgren-Williams, Natalie Barback, and Bobby Moreno.

Sanders is the creator of Dread Awakening, the hit collection of new horror one-acts which recently completed its run at the 45th Street Theatre, featuring his new play, Sleep Mask. Upcoming productions include It's a Dry Heat (dir. Carolyn Cantor) and Ixomia (dir. Stephen Brackett). He is the author of Faint, which he produced and directed at the 2003 New York International Fringe Festival, and The Hillside, which received a reading at Primary Stages in 2003 starring Frank Whaley and Alison Pill. His one-acts have been seen at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, The Ohio Theatre, The John Houseman Studio Theatre, The American Place Theatre (with Studio 42), The Irish Arts Center, The Marquee Theatre, The Galapagos Art Space, and many others.

Both plays will feature production design by Jake Platt and sound design by Paul DeSena. The "More For Your Money '06" Festival is presented by Working Man's Clothes (Isaac Byrne, Artistic Director). Jared Culverhouse, Bekah Brunstetter and Maggie Hamilton are the executive producers.

Oceanside Parkway and Arms will be presented Friday, May 12th, Saturday, May 13th, Friday, May 19th and Saturday, May 20th; all performances will be at 8 PM. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at www.smarttix.com, or by calling (212) 868-4444. Visit www.workingmansclothes.com for more information.
