San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus Names Jonathan Foulk As New Chief Advancement Officer

Today, San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus (SFGMC) Executive Director Christopher Verdugo announced the appointment of Jonathan Foulk as the organization's new Chief Advancement Officer. In this newly created position, Foulk will oversee the organization's strategic partnerships and fundraising programs, and will be responsible for continuing SFGMC's mission of musical excellence and advocacy through the cultivation of corporate and major donors.

"We are delighted Jonathan will be joining San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus as our new Chief Advancement Officer," says Verdugo. "His proven fundraising track record-combined with his energy and enthusiasm-makes him the perfect candidate to grow our existing programs, ensure a strong base of ongoing financial support, and help us write the next chapter in our storied history."

"For 40 years, the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus has created extraordinary musical experiences that inspire activism and compassion within the community," says Foulk. "My passion is the community in which I live in, and I am thrilled to join this iconic organization to help lead the way for the future. I look forward on planning and executing an ambitious strategic growth plan to help propel SFGMC to a global brand that has the transformative power to heal, enlighten, and foster unity across the world through its music."

With more than seven years in non-profit fundraising, Foulk has helped raise over $10 million from some of the largest global companies, foundations and donors. Prior to SFGMC, Foulk was the Senior Corporate Development Officer at The Trevor Project, a national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ young people. In this role, Foulk managed a portfolio of over 125 corporate partners and secured new corporate global companies including Coca-Cola, AMC, Instagram, Salesforce, Apple, Facebook, State Farm, and more.

Foulk also serviced as Development Director for San Francisco's AIDS Emergency Fund from 2011-2013. In this role, he created a relationship with over 180 new donors-both individual and corporate-to the organization and secured new corporate sponsors. In addition, Foulk developed and executed the launch of AIDS Emergency Fund's 30th anniversary campaign, which included producing and managing over 30 fundraising events.
