Los Angeles based shoe line, STEPS by ChromeBones, will launch their first shoe collection this holiday season with partial proceeds going to save dogs. For every pair of shoes that is purchased, STEPS will donate to both local and national charities to help feed, shelter, vaccinate, spay/neuter and provide special and medical attention for dogs in need.

STEPS began with the intent to end the killing of dogs that are deemed unadoptable in shelters by buying them more time to find a loving home. "We were really shocked by how many pets are being killed each year in U.S. shelters, we sincerely want to do something to change the statistics and to educate people on how to put an end to pet overpopulation," said co-founders Tommy Wang and Adrian Beyas. Tommy and Adrian are also partners in STEPS' sister company, ChromeBones.

On September 22 2012, STEPS sponsored the Emmys Gifting Lounge where celebrities were able to get a sneak preview of the upcoming STEPS collection. The shoes created lots of buzz and stars just couldn’t get enough. Celebrities gathered around the booth to take photo ops with STEPS’ mascot, Trevor, and couldn’t wait to get their hands on a pair of shoes!

Attendees included Modern Family’s Nolan Gould, Rico Rodriguez and Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, as well as Dancing with the Stars’ Kyle Massey and Tony Dovolani. Other special guests included Mark Curry, Keith Powell and Kamar De Los Reyes.

STEPS by ChromeBones plans to attend the National Reality TV Awards on September 24, 2012.
