SPF Announces Third Week Play Schedule

Summer Play Festival (SPF), which provides 15 emerging playwrights a chance to present their work at Theatre Row throughout July, continues Off-Broadway. Four plays will be performed on Theatre Row (410 W 42nd St.) during the third week (July 18th through July 24th) of the festival: Spain by Jim Knable (the Kirk), A Wive's Tale by Christina Ham (the Beckett), Training Wisteria by Molly Smith Metzler (the Clurman), and Marge by Peter Morris (the Lion).
Week Three Schedule Tuesday July 18th:6:30pm- Spain by Jim Knable, directed by Jeremy Dobrish, "is a comedy about a woman, recently left by her husband, who encounters a sixteenth-century conquistador in her twenty-first century living room." (at the Kirk Theatre)7:00pm- A Wive's Tale by Christina Ham, directed by Rosemary Andress, "is a futuristic drama about a group of barren women conspiring to create the perfect society." (at the Beckett Theatre)7:30pm- Training Wisteria by Molly Smith Metzler, directed by Evan Cabnet, "is a tragicomedy that combines a dysfunctional family with a dirty yard and home improvement on the evening of the son's graduation party." (at the Clurman Theatre)8:00pm- Marge by Peter Morris, directed by Alex Timbers, is a "comedy about a man who hires a prostitute to help murder his wife."
