SPAMALOT Breaks Shubert House Record for 10th Time

MONTY PYTHON'S SPAMALOT, Broadway's Tony Awardâ winning Best Musical, had its best week ever breaking the house record at the Shubert Theatre (225 West 44th Street) for the tenth time since opening in March.
For the week of September 26 – October 1, SPAMALOT grossed $1,071,021.35 playing to 102% capacity. That beat the record that SPAMALOT had set during the week of August 15 – August 21, when the production grossed $1,024,875.82.
In addition to the 2005 Tony Award for Best Musical, SPAMALOT also received the 2005 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Musical, and the 2005 Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Musical. In addition, to the Tony Award for Best Musical, SPAMALOT received the Tony Award for Best Direction of a Musical (Mike Nichols) and Best Featured Actress in a Musical (Sara Ramirez).
