SLAP&TICKLE Pride Party to Feature Antwayn Hopper, Pooya Mohseni & More
The fundraiser at It's Him in Hell's Kitchen will support SLAP&TICKLE's OFF-BROADWAY run.
The June 25 event at It's Him in Hell's Kitchen will support the new queer play's upcoming Off-Broadway production.
Boundless Theater and producer Tommaso Cartia will host the SLAP&TICKLE Pride Party & Fundraiser: Road to Off-Broadway 2027! on Thursday, June 25, from 6 PM, at It's Him, a gay social club and bar in Hell's Kitchen.
The event will feature performances by Antwayn Hopper (CATS: The Jellicle Ball, A Strange Loop), Pooya Mohseni (English), and Christopher Borg (The Confession of Lily Dare), offering audiences a first look at SLAP&TICKLE - A Theatrical Experience, the provocative, sensual, and darkly funny new queer play by Eugene O'Neill National Playwrights Conference Finalist David James Parr, directed by Chad Austin, Producing Artistic Director of Abingdon Theatre Company.
Described as "CATS: The Jellicle Ball meets The Inheritance with surprising immersive elements," SLAP&TICKLE is set in 2010 at The Sanctuary-the last standing gay bathhouse in New York City-and follows a group of transgenerational queer characters on a journey of sexual awakening and self-discovery while honoring the resilience and legacy of the LGBTQIA+ community.
The evening will also officially launch the SLAP&TICKLE Road to Off-Broadway 2027 Crowdfunding Campaign. Guests can participate in a silent auction, enjoy Pride giveaways, and learn more about the production's path to Off-Broadway.
