Since it was performed the first time in 1981, "Memory" has become one of the most beloved songs in the history of musical theatre. Now the tune has returned to the stage to which it belongs, as Cats opens again on Broadway tomorrow, July 31.

Today, BroadwayWorld is continuing SHOWTUNE SHUFFLE with the song that has been sung in just about every key there is, and by just about every kind of singer, from Barry Manilow to Celine Dion.

"Touch me
It's so easy to leave me
All alone with my memory
Of my days in the sun
If you touch me
You'll understand what happiness is
Look a new day has begun"
