Russell Kane to Headline Comedy Showcase at The Belgrade Theatre Next Month

This October will see Coventry's Belgrade Theatre play host to a bumper programme of shows combining the best in musical entertainment, timeless variety and cutting-edge stand-up comedy.

Loved by the nation for his pure treble voice, singer, actor, author and broadcaster Aled Jones MBE will make his first visit to the Belgrade on Thurs 2 Oct in Aled Jones - Songs Of Hope and Inspiration featuring an eclectic mix of songs, anecdotes and stories from Aled's 27 years in the public eye.

Star of BBC3 Unzipped and Live At The Apollo Russell Kane leads a bumper comedy line-up in Live At The Belgrade on Fri 3rd Oct. Winner of the Fosters Edinburgh Comedy Award and The Barry Award, Russell Kane is a multi-talented writer and performer who has firmly established himself as one the best comics in the UK today. Currently touring the UK with his brand new live show Smallness, this all-new comedy showcase will see headliner Russell joined on stage by up-and-coming comic talents Rich Wilson, Markus Birdman, Darius Davies and Ash Firth.

Recreating the original hits of Liverpool's foremost rock legend live on stage, Billy Fury: Halfway To Paradise returns to the Belgrade on Wed 1 Oct for an evening of timeless hits from the golden era of rock 'n' roll including Last Night Was Made For Love, I Will, Jealousy,
Halfway To Paradise and many more.

Churning up the laughs this autumn, Marie Jones' multi award-winning Cork-based comedy Stones In His Pockets plays to the Belgrade Main Stage on Sat 4 Oct following a sell-out run on Broadway with Ian McElhinney (Game Of Thrones), the original director back at the helm.

This will be followed by the return of Coventry's favourite variety show, Midday Variety on Thurs 16 Oct featuring music from The Bachelors with John Stokes plus an appearance from special guest stars, The Martyn St James Band.

Paying tribute to the ultimate King of Pop, Forever Jackson will be moonwalking its way onto the Main Stage on Wed 22 Oct for a night of non-stop pop hits, from the Jackson 5's Can You Feel It, to solo pieces such as Billie Jean, Bad, Thriller, Beat It, Man In The Mirror, Smooth Criminal and more.

Voted the No.1 Elton John Tribute Show in the UK at the 2013 UK National Tribute Awards, Paul Bacon stars in Ultimate Elton on Thurs 23 Oct. Recreating the original sounds of 60s, Soul Legends arrives direct from the USA on Fri 24 Oct whilst Thank You for The Music will bring the lycra-tight harmonies and timeless musicianship of Sweden's original fab four, Abba, to life on Sat 25 Oct.
