Ruben Studdard, notable as the winner of "American Idol" Season 2, will reportedly star in the 30th Anniversary national tour of the Tony Award-winning musical Ain't Misbehavin', according to TMZ.com

The tour is scheduled to begin in November 2008 with performances through May 2009. An official tour route and details have not been released.

Joining Studdard will be fellow "Idol" contestant, Frenchie Davis, who recently appeared on Broadway in the cast of Rent and also appeared in a West Coast production of Dreamgirls at AMTSJ.

Ain't Misbehavin' is an original revue featuring the music of Thomas "Fats" Waller and originally debuted on Broadway in May 1978 at the Longacre Theatre.  It won the 1978 Tony Awards for Best Musical, Best Featured Actress (Nell Carter) and Best Direction; and was nominated for its choreography.

The musical features songs by Nat "King" Cole, Frank Loesser, Dorothy Fields, Porter Grainger, Richard Maltby Jr and many more.   Maltby and Murray Horwitz penned the book.  The original Broadway cast featured Carter, Andre De Shields, Armelia McQueen, Ken Page and Charlayne Woodward.

Davis is reported to play and sing Carter's role. Studdard is slotted to perform in Page's track, with additional material.
