Roundabout Theatre Company's (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) Off-Broadway production of PIG FARM opens tonight, June 27th! . PIG FARM, written by Greg Kotis, directed by John Rando, featuring John Ellison Conlee, Katie Finneran, Logan Marshall-Green and Denis O'Hare, plays Off-Broadway at the Laura Pels Theatre (111 West 46th St.). Roundabout is thrilled to present the co-world premiere of PIG FARM, in collaboration with The Old Globe, San Diego, CA.

The limited engagement is scheduled through September 3rd, 2006.

John Rando and Greg Kotis collaborate once again following their Tony Award® winning musical Urinetown. John Rando received a 2002 Tony Award® for Best Direction of a Musical for Urinetown and has also helmed the Broadway productions of The Wedding Singer, The Dinner Party, A Thousand Clowns and Dance of the Vampires. Greg Kotis won 2002 Tony Awards® for Best Book of a Musical and Best Original Score.

Under a pot-bellied sky on a struggling pig farm somewhere in America, Tom (John Ellison Conlee), Tina (Katie Finneran) and their hired hand Tim (Logan Marshall-Green) fight to hold onto everything they have – namely, a herd of fifteen thousand restless pigs. Dumping sludge into the river has driven Tom to drink, and Tim seems to have caught Tina's eye, but when Teddy (Denis O'Hare), an officer of the Environmental Protection Agency arrives to inspect the operation, life on the farm explodes, implodes, then explodes again. Not literally, of course, but…you get the idea.
