Ronald K. Brown and Evidence, A Dance Company return to the Joyce Theater for its annual season, June 28-July 3, 2016. The critically acclaimed modern dance company's season features a World Premiere, a Company Premiere, and in honor of New York Pride Week, the revival of Brown's 1998 work, Better Days. The week-long run features two programs. Program A highlights include the moving solo, For You and the World Premiere of She is Here, danced by the women of Evidence. Program B highlights include The company premiere of Four Corners.

Ronald K. Brown has been a powerful force in the contemporary dance world since his company burst onto New York's downtown dance scene in 1985. Since those early days, Brown and his company have performed uptown, downtown and across the globe. Brown's ubiquitous master classes and workshops attract thousands of community students and dancers; many of whom consider him a mentor, as well as a teacher. His ethereal works and remarkable performance quality have touched the hearts of many. Brown's choreography has been installed in the repertories of some of the country's most beloved dance companies. As an educator and community activist, he has used his work as a catalyst to discuss culture, religion, and societal issues. Brown's belief --that dance can heal and provide evidence of the human condition-is the driving force behind his 30 years of uninterrupted work. The 2016 Joyce season is a celebration of Ronald K. Brown, his work, and the imprint he has made on dance, theater and communities around the world.
