Roberto Araujoto will star in his show DO YOU DREAM IN SPANISH?, with additional material by Michael Perrie Jr., at the Fresh Fruit Festival, opening July 17, 2017 at 9pm at the Wild Project Theatre, 195 E 3rd St, New York, NY 10009.

Roberto Araujo is a photographer, singer, gay man, actor, New Yorker, dancer, and immigrant - but the one question he hears more than anything is, "Do you dream in Spanish?". Come along with him as he takes you on a unique journey through his life, with music, dance, and photography.

A multimodal experience, Do You Dream In Spanish? features the music of Loesser, Lutvak, Gershwin and original songs by Michael Perrie Jr. and Araujo, alongside his photographic body of work. While his photography is an exploration of the male physique, this performance explores his personal search for identity; immigration, love, family, racism, acceptance and belonging.

The show is under the direction of Lacy Reily (Wild Imagination, An Unexpected Thing Happens), musical direction by Joshua Stephen Kartes (Broadway Sessions, Living La Vida Grande), with choreography by Lori Leshner (Singin' in the Rain, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes).

Fresh Fruit Festival was the creation of two long established LGBT community arts groups:

New Village Productions, established in 1989, had produced ten LGBT short play Festivals including an international short play Festival in conjunction with the Vineyard Theater and Gay Games 1994. New Village Productions was committed to diversity and the celebration of difference, both in selection of material and by inclusion of disabled and minority artists.

All Out Arts' mission fulfillment is constantly evolving. To this end we produce All Out Music (which has given rise to the Out Music collective of LGBT musicians and Composers) and All Out Youth - our fledgling performance-art program for at-risk LGBT youth. We maintain a drop-in, stress-free environment for creative people to test new ideas titled Creative Industries Network. Throughout, our motto remains Fighting Prejudice Through The Arts.
