The new comedic musical WILSHIRE, with music and lyrics from singer/songwriter Drew Brody and a book by Bobby Goldman ("The Curvy Widow"), will receive a New York reading today, April 4th at 3pm and 5th at 11am, both at Chelsea Studios.

The cast, under the direction of Rob Ashford, will include John Dossett, Harriet Harris, Christopher Sieber, Adrienne Warren, Rebecca Faulkenberry, Rob Bartlett, Justin Matthew Sargent, Richard Poe and Ray Bokhour.

The show centers around "an ambitious developer, who has turned an old age home into a hip hotel in the heart of modern-day West Hollywood, but an egotistical rock god, his scheming agent, a vegan waitress and, of course, the ghosts of former residents all threaten to ruin the grand opening of WILSHIRE."

Ashford has served as Director/Choreographer for Broadway's How to Succeed (Tony nominations Direction/Choreography), Promises, Promises (Tony nomination for Choreography); and as choreographer for Thoroughly Modern Millie (Tony Award Best Choreography), Wedding Singer (Tony nom.), Cry Baby (Tony nom.), Curtains (Tony nom.) and currently Cat On a Hot Tin Roof.
