Rebecca Luker Returns to Feinstein's for May Cabaret
Rebecca Luker, who was recently a hit at Feinstein's at the Regency (540 Park Avenue at 61st Street), will return to the luxe cabaret from May 9th through 20th, 2006.
With her last cabaret (which she performed from December 12th through 15th), Luker took audiences on a vocal tour through songs by female composers and lyricists ranging from Betty Comden to Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich. Her program for the May show has not yet been announced, however.Luker is a preeminent Broadway leading lady whose credits include Lily in The Secret Garden, Magnolia in Hal Prince's revival of Show Boat (for which she was nominated for a Tony), Maria in the 1998 revival of The Sound of Music and Marian in The Music Man; she received Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for the latter role. Luker has also appeared on Broadway in The Phantom of the Opera and the 2003 revival of Nine, and other credits include Brigadoon at the New York City Opera, Encores!'s The Boys from Syracuse, the York Theatre concert of Darling of the Day, and the Kennedy Center production of Passion.
