The theme for "Broadway Bares 17" will be announced this Monday, March 13 as part of NextWorks - the monthly gay professionals mixer held at Splash (50 West 17th Street).  The event will take place from 6 PM to 9 PM.

A raffle will be held at the NextWorks event, where a pair of tickets to Broadway Bares and three month gym membership to Club H Fitness will be some of the prizes featured.  Tony Award-nominee Christopher Sieber (Spamalot) will be on hand to host the NextWorks event and draw the winning raffle ticket.

"Broadway Bares" is a fundraising event for Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA). According to press notes, "the hotly anticipated annual event combines the naughtiness of burlesque and the razzle-dazzle of Broadway and has been a smashing success since its inception. Created by Tony Award-winning choreographer Jerry Mitchell, the event features the hottest male and female dancers on Broadway and has become one of Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS' signature events."

The First Broadway Bares was presented in 1991 by "Bares" founder Jerry Mitchell and the Broadway company of The Will Rogers Follies at Splash bar. Eight dancers "in rotation" on the bar raised over $8,000. Since then, the event has continuously performed to sell out crowds in some of Manhattan's largest night clubs.

Broadway Cares /  Equity Fights AIDS is the nation's leading industry-based, not for profit AIDS  fundraising and grant making organization.

NextWorks is New York City's premier, upscale gay professionals mixer held on the second Tuesday of each month.  Hosted by Next Magazine in trendy venues throughout the city, NextWorks was developed as a means for influential gay business professionals to socialize, network and make that all-important business or social connection.  Guests represent various business organizations and professions ranging from American Express, HBO and The New York Times to the United Nations and several city and state government agencies.

Tickets for the 17th Annual Broadway Bares will officially be on sale and can be purchased by going to www.broadwaycares.org.
