RISE Season One Finale to Premiere New SPRING AWAKENING Song May 15 on NBC

The season finale of "Rise" will feature a new "Spring Awakening" song titled "All You Desire." The song was written specifically for the NBC series by the Broadway musical's Tony Award winners Steven Sater (Lyrics) and Duncan Sheik (Music).

The season finale of "Rise," titled "Opening Night," airs Tuesday, May 15 at 9pm ET/PT on NBC.

During opening night of "Spring Awakening" personal crises and dilemmas percolate in the wings backstage as Simon (Ted Sutherland) struggles to overcome his biggest fear, Lilette (Auli'i Cravalho) withholds a huge development from Robbie (Damon J. Gillespie), Robbie has a momentous breakthrough, and Tracey (Rosie Perez) draws a line in the sand. Over the course of one evening, decisions are made that will change Lou (Josh Radnor) and Stanton Drama forever.

"Rise" also stars Marley Shelton, Rarmian Newton, Amy Forsyth, Casey W. Johnson, Taylor Richardson, Joe Tippett and Shirley Rumierk. "Rise" is created by Jason Katims, who serves as showrunner and executive producer. Jeffrey Seller, Flody Suarez and Michelle Lee also executive produce. "Rise" is produced by Universal Television, True Jack Productions and Seller Suarez Productions.

From Jason Katims, executive producer and showrunner of "Friday Night Lights" and "Parenthood," and "Hamilton producer" Jeffrey Seller comes a heartening new drama about finding inspiration in unexpected places. When dedicated teacher Lou Mazzuchelli (Josh Radnor) sheds his own self-doubt, and takes over the lackluster theater department and its ambitious plans for a school production of "Spring Awakening," he galvanizes not only the faculty and students but also the entire working-class town.

The cast includes Josh Radnor, Rosie Perez, Auli'i Cravalho, Damon J. Gillespie, Marley Shelton, Rarmian Newton, Ted Sutherland, Amy Forsyth, Casey W. Johnson, Taylor Richardson, Joe Tippett, and Shirley Rumierk.

"Rise" is created by Jason Katims, who serves as showrunner and executive producer. Jeffrey Seller, Flody Suarez and Michelle Lee also executive produce. Mike Cahill directs and executive produces the pilot.
