Jonathan Pryce and Aidan Gillen will lead the cast in James MacDonald's (Drunk Enough to I Say I Love You) West End revival of David Mamet's Glengarry Glen Ross at the Apollo Theatre from September 27 2007. Designed by Anthony Ward and with lighting by Howard Harrison, Glengarry Glen Ross will have its press night on October 10 and is now booking until January 12 2008.  Jonathan Pryce plays Shelly Levene and Aidan Gillen will play Richard Roma.

"Glengarry Glen Ross is David Mamet's modern classic set in an office of cut-throat Chicago salesmen.  Pitched in competition against each other, they will do anything, legal or otherwise, to sell the most real estate.  In this world of high stakes and hard sell, the mantra is simple: close the deal and you've won a Cadillac; blow the lead and you're f***d," state press notes.

Multi award-winning Jonathan Pryce's extensive London theatre credits include The Goat for The Almeida Theatre - which transferred to the West End, A Reckoning for Soho Theatre, Professor Higgins in Trevor Nunn's production of My Fair Lady which opened at The National Theatre before transferring to the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, Oliver for the London Palladium, Miss Saigon also for the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, Hamlet for the Royal Court, Antony and Cleopatra for the Royal Shakespeare Company and Comedians for the Old Vic.  He has most recently been playing Lawrence Jameson in Jack O'Brien's Broadway production of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.  On film his recent credits include Weatherby Swann in the Pirates of the Carribean Trilogy, My Zinc Bed, Brothers of the Head, De-Lovely, Evita and Carrington.  His television credits include "Victoria and Albert," "HR" and "Selling Hitler."

Aidan Gillen's theatre work includes The Caretaker for the Roundabout Theatre, New York, Platonov, The Tempest and Playboy of the Western World for The Almeida Theatre Company, Mojo for the Royal Court, Marvin's Room for Hampstead Theatre, Drama at Inish for The Abbey Theatre Dublin and The Patriot Game for The Abbey Theatre.  His film work includes Shanghai Nights, My Kingdom, The Low Down, Mojo and Some Mother's Son.  He is best known to television audiences as Stuart Jones in the hugely successful Channel 4 series "Queer as Folk."  His other television credits include "The Wire," "Lorna Doone" and "In Suspicious Circumstances."

The Pulitzer and Tony Award winning Glengarry Glen Ross received its world premiere at The National Theatre in 1983 directed by Bill Bryden and was subsequently produced on Broadway under the direction of Gregory Mosher.  In 1992 Mamet adapted his play for the screen in a movie of the same name directed by James Foley which starred Jack Lemmon, Kevin Spacey, Ed Harris, Alan Arkin, Al Pacino (who was nominated for an Academy Award) and Alec Baldwin as well as Jonathan Pryce who played James Lingk.  Glengarry Glen Ross was last performed in London at the Donmar Warehouse in 1994.  2008 will mark the 25th anniversary of the original London premiere.

Glengarry Glen Ross is produced in the West End by Mark Rubinstein, Ron Kastner, Patrick Myles, Jeffrey Richards, Jerry Frankel and JAM Theatricals.
