After two sold out runs this past year of The House of Yes and The Shape of Things, Ground Up Productions will return with their winter show--David Auburn's Proof. The play will be presented at Manhattan Source Theatre (177 MacDougal St. between W. 8th and Waverly, W. 4th Subway) from February 7th through 11th and 14th through 18th.

The production will mark the first time the Pulitzer prize winning play has been produced in Manhattan since the Broadway production of 2000. Directed by Adam Gerdts (The House of Yes, The MacGuffin, and I'm Gonna Kill the President), and featuring Amy Heidt* (The Shape of Things, The House of Yes), Kate Middleton* (Marty, Chicago, The Fringe), Stuart Marshall* (Trolls, The Fantasticks), and Guy Olivieri* (Nat'l Tour Rent), Proof "explores the unknowability of love as much as it does the mysteries of mathematics," according to press notes.

Ground Up Productions is a new (soon to be non-profit) company, dedicated to bringing the new classics back to the stage in NYC at affordable prices.

Proof's performance schedule is Tues. Feb 7-11 and 14-18 at 8PM, and matinees at 2PM on Feb. 12 and 18. Ticket prices are $15 for general admission, and $10 for seniors and students with valid ID at the door.
