'Prelude to a Kiss' Set for Final Week of Performances

Roundabout Theatre Company's (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) limited engagement of Craig Lucas' Prelude to a Kiss is set to play its final performance on Sunday, April 29, at 2:00 PM. The production stars John Mahoney (Old Man), Annie Parisse (Rita) and Alan Tudyk (Peter) with Robin Bartlett (Mrs. Boyle) and James Rebhorn (Dr. Boyle), and runs at American Airlines Theatre on Broadway (227 West 42nd St). Daniel Sullivan directs.

Press notes describe the show, "Peter and Rita follow their whirlwind courtship with a storybook wedding.  After a mysterious elderly man appears and kisses the bride at the wedding, the two lovers are sent on a magical journey that they will never forget.  As they struggle to come to terms with their relationship and Rita's nagging doubts, their love is put to the test by unknown forces."
 
By closing night, Prelude to a Kiss will have played 23 preview performances and 61 regular performances.  Previews began February 17, 2007, and the show opened officially March 8, 2007.

The cast also includes Francois Battiste (Tom), Brandon Dirden (Ensemble), MacIntyre Dixon (Minister), Marceline Hugot (Aunt Dorothy, Leah), Susan Pellegrino (Ensemble), Matthew Rauch (Taylor), John Rothman (Uncle Fred), and Karen Walsh (Ensemble).
