Polish Your Passion & NYMF's Joey Contreras in Concert Kick Off #JoeyShine Video Contest

Polish Your Passion (www.pypnyc.com) and NYMF's Joey Contreras in Concert present the inaugural #JoeyShine Video Contest providing emerging student performers with the opportunity to compete to perform at a rising artist's concert.

This year, Award winning and iTunes Pop Charting songwriter Joey Contreras (Love Me, Love Me Not: The Music of Joey Contreras, Young Kind of Love; Playbill's "Contemporary Musical Theatre Songwriters You Should Know"; www.joeycontreras.com) has penned the competition song, "Waiting for More."

Contestants must record their #JoeyShine submissions using the MP3 provided on http://bit.ly/JoeyShine (no acapella). Deadline for submissions is Friday, June 19th at 11:59PM EST. The contest is open to anyone currently enrolled in middle school, high school, or college and 2015 graduates are eligible. You must be at least 13 years old to submit and you must live in the metro area (NY, NJ, CT, PA) and be able to provide your own transportation to NYC, if chosen as a Top 20 Finalist or Winner.

Top 20 Finalists will receive video feedback from expert coaches at Polish Your Passion, an online video audition coaching service, and will be invited to come to NYC to tape their professional quality final draft videos with Co-Founders Caroline Selia and Tom Morin to look their best for the judges' panel. This year the judges' panel includes Frankie Grande (YouTube Sensation, Big Brother fan favorite, & upcoming judge of MTV's America's Best Dance Crew), Andrew Keenan-Bolger (Broadway's Newsies, Co-Creator of the web series Submissions Only, & star of the upcoming Broadway musical, Tuck Everlasting), and a soon-to-be announced star 3rd judge!

The Grand Prize Winner will perform "Waiting for More" alongside Natalie Weiss, Ben Fankhauser, Adam Kaplan and other Broadway stars at NYMF's Joey Contreras in Concert on July 16th, 2015 at 8pm at The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center.
