The Manhattan Theatre Club production of A PICASSO, the New York premiere of a new play by Jeffrey Hatcher, directed by John Tillinger, will open Tuesday, April 19th at Stage II at NY City Center (131 West 55th Street). Previews began Thursday, March 31st.
The production stars Dennis Boutsikaris and Jill Eikenberry. Set during the German occupation of Paris, A PICASSO imagines a confrontation between Picasso (Dennis Boutsikaris) and a mysterious interrogator, Miss Fischer (Jill Eikenberry), concerning several confiscated works.Set design is by Allen Moyer, costume design is by Jane Greenwood, lighting design is by Duane Schuler and sound design is by Scott Killian. The performance schedule for A PICASSO is: Tuesday through Sunday at 7:30 PM, with matinees on Saturday and Sunday at 2:30 PM.
