Photo Flash: Patti Labelle, Isabel Toledo and More at Record-Breaking Geoffrey Beene Scholarship Awards Gala
YMA Fashion Scholarship Fund Geoffrey Beene Scholarship Fund Dinner which was held on January 7th, 2015 at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel raised a record breaking $3.4 million dollars from record breaking crowd of 1300 guests. Scroll down for photos!
Honorees were Chip Bergh (President & C.E.O. of Levi Strauss & Co.), design duo Isabel Toledo (Tony Award-nominated fashion designer) and her husband, artist Ruben Toledo, fashion icon Iris Apfel and Doug Ewert (C.E.O of Men's Wearhouse).
Presenters included award winning recording star Patti Labelle, journalist Liz Smith and designer Joseph Abboud. Others in attendance included Vera Wang, Countess Luann de Lesseps, Mara and Tom Hutton, Manny Chirico, Debra Malbin, Sherri and Jimmy Rosenfeld, Jeff Gennette, Kenneth Wyse and "Good Day New York's" Rosanna Scotto who served as Host/Emcee. Geoffrey Beene Foundation scholarships were also presented to 9 college students.
"This year the YMA Fashion Scholarship Fund honored five unique individuals whose creative spirit and business acumen prove themselves leaders in the world of fashion," said Douglas C. Evans, Executive Director of YMA FSF. "Their accomplishments are many and we are very proud to salute them."
All proceeds from the evening will benefit the YMA Fashion Scholarship Fund, which is dedicated to promoting education of the fashion arts and businesses by granting scholarships to talented students and facilitating internships, mentorships and career programs.

The YMA Fashion Scholarship Fund is a national non-profit association made up of influential members of the fashion community. They are dedicated to promoting education of the fashion arts and businesses by granting scholarships to talented students and facilitating internships, mentorships and career programs. Over $8 million in scholarships have been awarded since 1971 and 46 prestigious colleges and universities (including Parsons, Pratt Institute, Wharton, Harvard, F.I.T, USC and UC Berkeley) have been including in the program.
