Captiva Arts presents UNBIDDEN, written (on a Fulbright grant to Iceland) and directed by Joanne Hudson, presented as part of the 17th annual New York International Fringe Festival FringeNYC. Check out a first look below!

In this experimental production, with the help of the Vofa (Icelandic rock spirits) the cast and crew of UNBIDDEN will deconstruct the brain of brilliant geneticist, Dr. Julia Lamb, as she unwinds the threads of ambition, betrayal and love that have led her to self-exile on a remote Icelandic island, while suffering from the, early onset Alzheimer's, disease she had sought to cure.

There will be performances on Wednesday, August 21 at 9:15 p.m., Thursday, August 22 at 5:45 p.m., Friday, August 23 at 3:45 p.m., Saturday, August 24 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, August 25 at 3:15 p.m. The show will play at The Celebration of Whimsy a.k.a. The C.O.W. venue #5.

Captiva Arts is a conceptual arts company producing theatre and visual arts throughout the tri-state area. For more information, visit www.captivaarts.com and www.unbiddenplay.com.
