We couldn't conjure a better poster for J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany's upcoming Harry Potter prequel plays HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD, PARTS I & II. Scroll down for a first look at the new artwork (which Rowling tweeted she "loves") for the West End's upcoming, two-part production!

Coming to London's Palace Theatre next summer, 'CURSED CHILD' reportedly centers on the literary icon's parents -- Lily and James. Although official details are scarce, BWW previously reported that the story will follow Lily Evans Potter and James Potter before they were killed by Lord Voldemort. It will likely take a closer look at Lily's fraught relationship with her sister Petunia, who was forced to raise Harry with her husband Vernon after the Potters were murdered.

Severus Snape could also play a key role; he and Lily were friends as children, went to Hogwarts together and were both members of the Order of the Phoenix. James' fellow Marauders -- friends Remus Lupin (werewolf), Sirius Black (Harry's godfather) and Peter Pettigrew (the backstabbing rat) -- might also appear in the plot.

Produced by Sonia Friedman Productions, Colin Callender's Playground Entertainment and Harry Potter Theatrical Productions, HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD will be directed by Tiffany with movement by Steven Hoggett, set designs by Christine Jones, costumes by Katrina Lindsay, lighting by Neil Austin, music by Imogen Heap, sound by Gareth Fry and special effects by Jeremy Chernick.
