The cast of the Roundabout Theatre Company's upcoming revival of Eugene O'Neill's drama A Touch of the Poet posed for photos at a rehearsal. The show, which will open at Studio 54 on Thursday, December 8th after beginning previews on November 11th, will play out its limited engagement through January 29th, 2006.

Directed by Tony Award-winner Doug Hughes (Doubt), A Touch of the Poet stars
Gabriel Byrne as Cornelius Melody, Dearbhla Molloy as Nora Melody, Emily Bergl as Sara Melody, John Horton as Nicholas Gadsby, Byron Jennings as Jamie Cregan, Kathryn Meisle as Deborah, Randall Newsome as Paddy O'Dowd, Ciaran O'Reilly as Dan Roche and Daniel Stewart Sherman as Mickey Maloy. "Set in a shabby tavern outside Boston in 1828, A Touch of the Poet finds an Irish immigrant who fancies himself as a distinguished gentleman despite all evidence to the contrary. Down-on-his-luck, he finds himself in a quandary when his daughter falls for the son of a wealthy American and he insists on maintaining his European gentility," according to press notes.
