The 2006 Laurence Olivier Awards, celebrating achievement in West End theatre, were held on February 26th at the London Hilton Park Lane.Billy Elliot won the Olivier for Best New Musical, Guys and Dolls for Outstanding Musical Production, Hedda Gabler for Best Revival of a Play, and Simon Stephen's On the Shore of the Wide World for Best New Play.
