Constantine Maroulis joined the cast of Off-Broadway's hit Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris revival on January 9th.

Maroulis, who recently played Sammy in The Wedding Singer, was a finalist during the 2005 season of "American Idol."  He was also featured as Roger in a non-Equity tour of Rent, and can be heard on the cast recording of the musical Suburban Dreams. He was formerly the frontman for the band Pray for the Soul of Betty.

Jacques Brel... also stars Robert CuccioliJayne Paterson and Gay MarshallThe revival of the iconic revue celebrating the Belgian-born troubadour opened at the Zipper Theatre (336 W. 37th St.) on Monday, March 27th.

The revue, which is directed by Gordon Greenberg, "transforms Brel's astonishing musical compositions into a theatrical experience that has delighted audiences for nearly four decades...With a cast of four actors and musicians, the show celebrates Brel's timeless relevance and enduring passions," according to press notes.  The show is translated from the French by American poet Eric Blau and lyricist Mort Shuman (Save The Last Dance For Me).  The original show opened in 1968 at The Village Gate in Greenwich Village and ran for more than four years.
