Ensemble Studio Theatre has announced the appointment of Paul A. Slee as Executive Director, effective immediately.

Paul A. Slee previously served as Executive Director of New Dramatists, where he helped create grant, award and exchange programs for American playwrights, and as Executive Director of International Arts Relations (INTAR), the center for Hispanic American playwrights.  As development consultant he has worked with Monarch Theater, Ensemble Studio Theater, the National Alliance for Musical Theater, the Center for Humanitarian Dialogue (Geneva, Switzerland), and most recently with the Women's Project and Mirror Repertory Company.  He is an alumnus of McGill University and New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.  He serves on the Advisory Board of the Civilians, a New York-based theater ensemble.

"After extensive meetings with Paul, I felt and the Board agreed that he is the man for the job. He is an experienced administrator who believes passionately in the work we do. We will be looking to him to bring the management leadership and fiscal accountability we need to secure the future of EST and fulfill our unique mission in serving our membership and developing new work.  We all feel very fortunate to have him onboard," said William Carden, Producing Artistic Director of EST.
