OnBehalf.org aims to be the premier non-profit in the United States that raises funds for injured U.S. military veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as military families mourning a combat loss. In addition to providing these veterans and families with emergency funds, OnBehalf.org offers a unique service, The Grateful Nation Network-a nationwide registry of small businesses and independent professionals who offer their particular services, exclusively to injured veterans and mourning military families. Their purpose in doing so is twofold: 1) to relieve the financial burdens our military families may be facing as the direct result of a combat injury or death, and 2) provide for the emotional betterment of these families by matching them with complimentary or discounted services that may offer enjoyment and comfort. On Behalf of a Grateful Nation, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization founded by four US Army Reserve combat veterans in 2005, and was recognized as a tax exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code on March 7, 2006.
