New York Theatre Barn, which incubates, develops, and produces new musicals that tell untold stories, has voted Rob Wyse president of its Board of Directors. Wyse is a marketing professional in the New York area with more than thirty years of experience, primarily working on incubation of tech startups and brand building of larger enterprises.

Wyse's core talent is as a public relations executive. For more than three decades, as president of his own communications firm, he focused on brand building and reputation management of large companies and startups. Wyse understands policy management to open capital markets, digital communication strategy and building strategic digital communication teams. Representative companies Wyse has helped include Carbonite, Carbon War Room, Hyperion, Korn Ferry, SunEdison, Squire Sanders, and Teradata.

According to Sheilah Rae, "We are lucky to have Rob assume the role of board president. He brings a deep business discipline and vision that will drive our company to continued financial success, and has already made a positive impact. He is committed to focusing on our core mission of providing a platform to incubate and develop untold stories. His perspective and experience is exactly what we need as we move to our next stage of development."

Sheilah Rae and Artistic Director, Joe Barros have created an incredible artistic platform to incubate and develop new musicals that bring awareness to untold stories. These stories are inspired by the lives of real people and actual events. For audiences, it is the thrill of watching musical theatre at the incubation stage develop in real time.

Said Wyse, "My love of theatre - plus the opportunity to see great works at the very beginning - is a thrill for me. I am the only board president of a Theatre company who was educated about theatre by being in and around it - first through my mother, Lois Wyse, who wrote the musical, Funny You Don't Look Like a Grandmother, with Sheilah Rae. And, second is my son, Alex Wyse. By age three he had memorized Into The Woods, and at age five he was in community theatre. Today he is a professional actor, and I continue to learn from him every day."

Added Joe Barros, Artistic Director, "Working with Rob has brought a focus to what we do and deep professionalism to the business side of our organization. It is a thrill to work with him."
