One of Broadway's favorite houses is receiving a major facelift in the first week of the new year judging from the current ongoing construction to the front of the Imperial Theatre on Broadway - namely, its marquee.

The once-standard-style florescent marquee was taKen Down earlier this week and in its place a hi-tech LED sign appears to be set to feature in the new look of the hallowed Broadway hall's artifice.

The new marquee will be in good company - the Music Box Theatre next door, similarly a Shubert house, also utilizes the new technology in its updated signage.

Subsequently, social media images have emerged depicting the continuing construction of the new marquee on 45th Street.

More information on the Imperial Theatre's history is available at the official Shubert Organization website here.

So, are you excited to see the new Imperial Theatre marquee lit up some January night soon?
