New Filmmakers Hosts A VERY VINNY CHRISTMAS
On Wednesday, December 22nd- The NewFilmmakers NY Series screens at Anthology Film Archives on the Lower East Side at 32 Second Avenue & 2nd Street. NewFilmmakers LA screens in the Stanley Kramer Theater at the Sunset Gower Studio. Many features screened at NewFilmmakers are now available on NewFilmmakers Online.

6:00 PM Very Vinny Christmas
On Wednesday December 22nd, have a NewFilmmakers Christmas when we screen two new shorts and a feature all starring our friend Vinny Vella . Reception starts at 6:00 and Screening at 7:00. Short Films include Last Days Of Limbo, Leave Day, and You Got Whacked and will be followed by the new Feature Humdinger.
Vinny was born Vincent Franco Vellacerra in New York City. His father raced at Madison Square Garden to win enough money to buy a scale for the pushcart he sold fish from, then earning enough to open a fish store. He is probably best known for the role of "Artie Piscano" in Martin Scorsese's Casino. He was the subject of a documentary called "Hey Vinny" completed in 2000 by director John Huba, which played at NewFilmmakers. He has been in a number of additional films at NewFilmmakers including Spy and New York Blood. He recently played Jimmy Petrille on the HBO show The Sopranos
