The 10th Annual New York International Fringe Festival and Tuesday Club Productions will present The Infliction of Cruelty, a new play by Andrew Unterberg and Sean McManus. The Infliction of Cruelty runs August 18th through August 26th at The Players Theatre (115 MacDougal Street at Minetta Lane).

"When children from a distinguished family reunite for a celebration honoring their father, they enact a plan of retribution based on a deep secret one of the siblings learned about him 15 years earlier. Their moment of hope, however, is eclipsed by a shattering lie," state press notes.

The cast features Elizabeth Van Meter, Holter Graham (John Waters' Hairspray, Fly Away Home), Justin Barrett, Aimee DeShayes and Pawel Szajda (Under the Tuscan Sun).

The Infliction of Cruelty is directed by Joel Froomkin (Thumbs starring Kathie Lee Gifford, Rupert Holmes' The Picture of Dorian Grey, AD on A Delicate Balance with Maggie Smith and Eileen Atkins in the West End), The set is designed by Jerome Martin (Eat the Runt, NSMT's Camelot) and the lighting is designed by Grant W. Yeager (assistant on Rufus Wainright at Carnegie Hall, Drumstruck, Miss Witherspoon). Froomkin, Yeager, and Martin comprised the assistant creative team of Off-Broadway's Almost, Maine.
