Nerve Tank Opens The Metaphysical Thriller A GATHERING 3/5

By:

The Nerve Tank is proud to announce the 16-week run of their dark, metaphysical thriller, A Gathering. This piece fuses movement theatre, spoken word, and immersive design to take the audience on a unique and layered journey. Three people hide from an unseen threat; along the way, identities are questioned and narratives spiral out of control.

Opening Night: Thursday, March 5th at 8:30 pm
Schedule: Every Thursday at 8:30 pm
Spring Gala: March 19th

A Gathering features a rotating cast of Nerve Tank company members. It's been developed in residence at The Brooklyn Lyceum in their Downstairs Theatre, a 4,000 square-foot performance venue and former public bath. Drinks will be served at a cash bar after each performance.

The text is by award-winning writer Chance D. Muehleck; the director is Melanie S. Armer; lighting and scenic design by Solomon Weisbard; sound design by Stephan Moore; costume design by David Withrow; collaborative development and performances by Brian Barefoot, Craig Dolezel, Stacia French, Jason Howard, Irene Hsi, and Kevin Lapin; stage management by Jennifer Caster.

Founded in 2006 by Melanie S. Armer and Chance D. Muehleck, The Nerve Tank is an incubator for theatrical performance. The company combines elements of popular culture, mediated image, and physical presence to test lines of engagement between spectator and live event. Based in New York, they have staged works at Theatre for the New City, chashama, the New York International Fringe Festival, Dixon Place, and Pittsburgh's Flux Festival.
