WEBroadway is launching new name and look as SheNYC Arts, which will replace the former as a year-round programming series supporting women playwrights, composers, and artists. The inaugural event of this new organization will be the SheNYC Summer Theater Festival (formerly known as the NYC Women's Work Festival), which will run at the East Village's Connelly Theater from July 6-16th, 2017.

The Festival will present eight new full-length shows by women playwrights, bookwriters, composers and lyricists.

The selected shows are:

Children of Camelot by Nakisa Aschtiani

City of Light: A New Musical by Gabrielle Wagner (book), Jan Roper (music), and Julie Weiner (lyrics)

From A to Double D by Mandy Murphy

Shakespeare's Hamlet, adapted by Tatiana Baccari

Memories of the Game by Kristy Thomas

The Human Incubator by Elinor Vanderburg and Drew Vanderburg

The Last by Angelica Zollo

The Summoning by Charlotte Ahlin

Additional information on the shows, performance times, and ticket information will be released in the coming weeks.

The SheNYC Summer Theater Festival is New York City's only program devoted to producing full-length plays, musicals, and adaptations by women writers annually. Its commitment to an open submissions process allows it to discover and cultivate the best up-and-coming talent in the industry. For more information, visit www.shenycarts.org.
