NEW YORK SPRING SPECTACULAR to Launch 'Spectacular City Week' on Monday

New York Spring Spectacular, the brand-new production at Radio City Music Hall, celebrates "Spectacular City Week," which provides New Yorkers with the opportunity to explore iconic New York City landmarks and institutions featured in the production. Beginning Monday, March 9, New York Spring Spectacular will provide exclusive access, unique experiences and special offers across New York City at the Empire State Building, Grand Central Terminal, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Statue of Liberty and The New York Public Library, which all are brought to life on the Great Stage using state-of-the-art technology in this love letter to New York City.

· Monday, March 9 through Thursday, March 12: Take the Official Grand Central Terminal Audio Tour, courtesy of New York Spring Spectacular between the hours of 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Tours are available while supplies last at the "GCT Tour" windows on the main concourse. Location: 89 East 42nd Street.

· Tuesday, March 10: Visit the Empire State Building's Fifth Avenue lobby windows which will feature costumes and props from New York Spring Spectacular. Location: 350 Fifth Avenue.

· Tuesday, March 10: Discover The New York Public Library with a variety of free programs, tours and exhibitions offered daily. Take a free interactive audio tour or join a guided group tour at 12:30 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. Children ages 7 - 12 can participate in a mini dance clinic with the Rockettes in Astor hall at 4:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. A limited number of free tickets are available and advanced registration is required at http://nyplrockettes.eventbrite.com Location: Fifth Avenue at 42nd Street.

· Friday, March 13: Enjoy complimentary admission to The Metropolitan Museum of Art, courtesy of New York Spring Spectacular, from 5:00p.m.- 9:00p.m. New Yorkers are invited to enjoy admission to the museum and explore artworks featured in New York Spring Spectacular with an itinerary inspired by the production. Location: Fifth Avenue at 82nd Street.

· Saturday, March 14 & Sunday, March 15: After touring The Statue of Liberty you'll receive a premium item courtesy of New York Spring Spectacular when you return to Battery Park on Statue Cruises between the hours of 12:00p.m. - 6:00p.m., while supplies last. Location: Battery Park

New York Spring Spectacular takes audiences on a whirlwind adventure across New York City while telling an inspiring and hopeful narrative about New Yorkers who change each other's lives in unexpectedly wonderful ways. The brand-new, live theatrical production stars Tony Award winning actress Laura Benanti as the female lead, Jenna, Emmy Award winning choreographer Derek Hough as the male lead, Jack and the legendary Rockettes. The production also includes cameos from some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment including Whoopi Goldberg as the voice of the Statue of Liberty puppet, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler as the voices of the New York Public Library lion puppets, Bella Thorne as the voice of the Alice in Wonderland statue, Henrik Lundqvist, Carmelo Anthony, Donald Trump and more.

New York Spring Spectacular is led by an award-winning creative team that includes Tony and Drama Desk Award winner Warren Carlyle as director and choreographer, Tony Award winning Director and Artistic Director of the American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) Diane Paulus and American playwright and Drama Desk Award winner Randy Weiner as the show's co-creative directors, Emmy Award winner Mia Michaels as the choreographer of the production's opening number, and up-and-coming playwright Joshua Harmon.
