It was reported that boxing legend Muhammad Ali passed away yesterday, June 3rd, from respiratory complications at a Phoenix-area hospital. Ali was 74 years old.

Family spokesman Bob Gunnell said, "After a 32-year battle with Parkinson's disease, Muhammad Ali has passed away at the age of 74. The three-time World Heavyweight Champion boxer died this evening."

Ali was a civil rights advocate and remained one even as his health declined. In reaction to Donald Trump's call to ban Muslims from entering the United States, Ali said, "We as Muslims have to stand up to those who use Islam to advance their own personal agenda."

The boxer made a brief stint on Broadway as Buck in "Buck White," a 1969 musical that ran for 16 previews and 7 performances. This marked Ali's only performance on Broadway. Watch a brief clip of his performance below.
