MuSE Productions Celebrates the Holiday Season with their Second Annual Production of DANCE-IT-YOURSELF NUTCRACKER

MuSE Productions presents the second annual production of Dance-It-Yourself Nutcracker (DIY Nutcracker), a reimagining of the classic holiday ballet you know and love. Join us for a multicultural, audience-participatory experience as you come along with Clara and Fritz on an unforgettable adventure to help the heroic Nutcracker defeat the evil Rat King and reunite with his Ballerina true love. Experience this wondrous world filled with a mischievous rat army, valiant toy soldiers, and enchanting snowflakes.

This immersive production features Tchaikovsky's timeless music with live accompaniment conducted by Alicia Lieu, including the New York premiere of Tchaikovsky's long lost English Gigue. Director of Dance Theresa Burns' brand new choreography places the audience within The Land of Sweets where they learn authentic cultural dances alongside Clara and the Nutcracker Prince!

DIY Nutcracker features a top-notch cast and crew whose credits range from national tours to internationally known dance companies. Lia-Shea Tillett and Gwynedd Vetter-Drusch reprise their roles as Clara and The Sugar Plum Fairy, respectively, while Kyle Marra joins the cast as The Nutcracker Prince. Ashley Carter, Tsubasa Ogawa, Hiroko Uchino, Vanessa Martínez de Baños, Kelly Vaghenas, Maria Byers, Mikki Shoji, and Madeline McBroom round out the cast.

Tickets can be purchased at: diyn2017.brownpapertickets.com, ranging $25-$45. Tickets will be available at the door ranging from $30-$50. This show is appropriate for all but best enjoyed by those ages 6 and up.

About MuSE: Multicultural Sonic Evolution, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was incorporated in 2009 by Yui Kitamura and Chihiro Shibayama in order to better world with the power of music. MuSE collaborates with artists from various disciplines and backgrounds in hopes of sharing classical and popular forms of music with the public.
