Movie Tunes, the in-theater music marketing and advertising company continues to bring Broadway to the big screen, featuring songs from hit musicals in its monthly audio and video programs. For a second year in a row, Movie Tunes will continue its partnership with the Tony Organization by promoting the 2006 Tony Awards in cinemas all month long.

Movie Tunes is currently featuring this year's 11-time Tony-nominated The Color Purple produced by Oprah Winfrey, Monty Python's Spamalot, the Earth,Wind & Fire-inspired show Hot Feet, and the nationwide smash Wicked.

"Movie Tunes reaches nearly 60% of U.S. moviegoers in the nation's finest theaters, thereby reaching more than 800 million moviegoers a year. Heard on-screen, at concession stands, in lobbies and even restrooms, Movie Tunes captures audiences from the moment they enter the theater, buy their tickets, purchase food and snacks, find their seats, and relax during the pre-show entertainment. This 360 marketing campaign makes Movie Tunes is the most effective way to boost national awareness of music products," state press notes.

"For 14 years, Movie Tunes has been the leader in music marketing and advertising through cinemas. The Broadway connection began last year, with Movie Tunes featuring shows including Brooklyn, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Wicked and this year's 11-time nominee Jersey Boys in its monthly programming. For the first time New York-based musicals were able to reach beyond the local tourist audience to a national level of exposure and enticement -- and at a price significantly less than a single Times Square billboard."

Broadway programs have been featured in Movie Tunes programs for over a year now and in the months of May and June, Movie Tunes is promoting the 2006 Tony Awards, saluting the 60th anniversary of Broadway's biggest night from the stage of Radio City Music Hall in New York City, Sunday, June 11 at 8 pm Eastern/Pacific Time.
