Classic Stage Company will present "Monday Night Macbeth," an exciting theatrical experience in which acclaimed actors - Ruben Santiago-Hudson, David Strathairn, Frances McDormand and members of Anne Bogart's Siti Company - will work through and explore a different act of Shakespeare's Macbeth with an acclaimed director in front of an audience on four Monday evenings this fall at Classic Stage Company (136 East 13th Street). The directors are Artistic Director Brian Kulick, former CSC Artistic Director Barry Edelstein, Michael Sexton, Artistic Director of The Shakespeare Society, and Obie Award-winner Anne Bogart.
Audiences will have the opportunity to become part of the creative process as they experience different Macbeths and Lady Macbeths, through varying interpretations and actor and directorial choices. On November 12, CSC Artistic Director Brian Kulick will work on Act I (cast to be announced); on November 19, Barry Edelstein directs Tony Award-winner Ruben Santiago-Hudson in Act II; on November 26 Michael Sexton works with David Strathairn and Frances McDormand on Act III; and on December 3, Anne Bogart and her Siti Company tackle Act IV.
