Yale Repertory Theatre has announced the second production of its 2006-07 season, The Mistakes Madeline Made by Elizabeth Meriwether.  Staged by acclaimed director Mark Rucker, the irreverent comedy will play October 27 to November 18 at Yale Repertory Theatre (1120 Chapel Street, at York Street).  Opening night is Thursday, November 2.

The cast includes Michael Chernus (Wilson), Patch Darragh (Buddy), Aubrey Dollar (Edna), David Jenkins (Drake, Jake and Blake), and Colleen Werthmann (Beth), Patch Darragh (Buddy), Ptolemy Slocum (Wilson), and David Jenkins (Drake, Jake and Blake).

"Life stinks for poor Edna (Aubrey Dollar).  She has a high-strung perfectionist for a boss (Colleen Werthmann), a revolving door of Mr. Wrongs (all played by David Jenkins), and an office co-worker (Michael Chernus) who makes the oddest noises.  Worst of all, her brother (Patch Darragh) is living in her tub making it impossible for her to take a bath.  When Edna starts getting ripe, it's time for her to get down and dirty!," state notes on the show.

Several of Meriwether's plays have been produced in New York.  After her graduation from Yale College in 2004, her play Nicky Goes Goth was produced in the New York International Fringe Festival with subsequent mountings at the Impact Theater in Berkeley and the Stray Cat Theater in Phoenix.  Her play True Love Story of My Parents won the Sam French Off-Off-Broadway Short Play Festival.  In 2006, she adapted Ibsen's classic Hedda Gabler into Heddatron for Les Freres Corbusier at HERE, a production where humans acted opposite robots.  She co-wrote Dixie's Tupperware Party with writer/performer Kris Anderson.  The Mistakes Madeline Made was premiered by the Naked Angels in April 2006.

The Mistakes Madeline Made features scenic designs by Maiko Chii (sets), costume design by Deb Oera Orzechowski (costumes), lighting design by Thom Weaver (lighting), and sound design and original music composed by Greg H. Hennigan (sound).  The production team is rounded out by dramaturg Joseph P. Cermatori as the production dramaturg, and stage manager Nicola Rossini serving as the production stage manager.
