Mid-Manhattan Library Presents SUBWAY BEATS: CELEBRATING NEW YORK CITY BUSKERS

This illustrated lecture showcases performers who collectively express the soul of the Big Apple while entertaining thousands of commuters and visitors daily. In addition to being a freelance writer and independent author Kurt Boone has also worked as a foot messenger (the fastest in the city) for over 20 years.

Profiled in all of the city's major newspapers and a contributor to PBS "Metro Focus" and "Narratively", Boone is the author or several books including "Looking For Myself", "Inside Grand Central Terminal", "On The Subway", "New York Alleycats", "Urban Theory: Critical Thoughts In America" "Messenger Poet". and "Asphalt Warrior." 6:30pm Free admission, first come, first served.
