Richard Rodgers Award winners Chris Miller and Nathan Tysen will present an evening of their songs entitled Uncharted: The Songs of Chris Miller and Nathan Tysen on Sunday, November 12th at 8 PM at Ars Nova.

Performers Michael McElroy (Big River, Wild Party), Matt Caplan (Rent, High Fidelity), Brandon Ellis (Company), Charlie Brady, Daniel Zaitchik, Halle Petro, and Katherine McClain will sing selections from Miller and Tysen's musicals True Fans, The Mysteries Of Harris Burdick, and The Burnt Part Boys.

Vadim Feichtner (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee) is musical director, and will also join Miller (guitar/piano) and Tysen (harmonica) in accompanying the evening.

"Miller and Tysen's groove-based material has a distinct style that contemporizes the sound of American musical theatre."  In addition to the Rodgers Award, Nathan Tysen (lyrics) and Chris Miller (music) are winners of the 2003 Jonathan Larson Award and the 2004 Daryl Roth Creative Spirit Award.

They began collaborating at New York University, where they received MFAs in musical theatre writing. This summer their musical The Burnt Part Boys was the toast of the Berkshires, with an extended, sold-out run at Barrington Stage Company.

Ars Nova is located at 511 West 54th Street. Tickets are $15, and can be purchased through www.smarttix.com or by calling (212) 868-4444.
