McDonald, Epps, Santiago-Hudson & More To Be Honored At NAACP Theatre Awards 8/31

Tony Award winner Audra McDonald, Sheldon Epps (Artistic Director, Pasadena Playhouse) and many more will be honored at this year's NAACP Theatre Awards.The August 31 ceremony will also celebrate the civil rights organization's 100th anniversary.

According to the LA Times, McDonald will be presented with the Trailblazer Award, while Epps will receive the Community Service Award. 

Additionally, Actor and Playwright Ruben Santiago-Hudson will receive an award for lifetime achievement, and Tichina Arnold ("Everybody Hates Chris") will be presented with the Spirit Award.

The ceremony will take place at the Directors Guild of America Theatre in Hollywood and will be hosted by Loretta Devine and Terry Crews.
