Mazzie, Danieley Open New Concert: HE SAID/SHE SAID, 2/5

Broadway favorites Marin Mazzie and Jason Danieley, are set to debut their new concert entitled, HE SAID/SHE SAID in 2011.  The husband-wife team, who currently star in Broadway's next to normal, begin performances at Axelrod Performing Arts Center on February 5 at 8 PM.

According to press notes on the show, He Said/She Said will include "brand new arrangements of tunes by Jimmy Van Heusen, Johnny Mercer, Dorothy Fields, Harold Arlen, Sammy Cahn with notable songs such as 'All The Way,' 'Something's Gotta Give,' 'A Fine Romance' and 'The Tender Trap.'"

Mazzie created the role of "Clara" in the Stephen Sondheim musical Passion in 1994. In 1998 Mazzie was nominated for a Tony Award for the role of Mother in the original production of Lynn Ahrens and Steven Flahrety's musical, Ragtime.She played the dual roles of Lilli Vanessi/Katharine in the 1999 revival of Kiss Me, Kate on Broadway, and then transferred to the West End production in 2001.Mazzie appeared in the drama ENRON, opening on Broadway in April 2010, as corporate vice president Claudia Roe. She recently replaced Alice Ripley as Diana in next to normal on July 19, 2010.

Just prior to his Broadway debut Danieley made a huge splash in the New York theatre community in a show written by Richard Rodgers's grandson, Adam Guettel. The show was Floyd Collins, based on the tragedy of caver Floyd Collins. Danieley has starred in other Broadway hit shows like The Full Monty, also in London's West End and the Kander & Ebb musical Curtains. Composer John Kander wrote the song I Miss The Music specifically for him. He also starred at Carnegie Hall, as Lt. Joseph Cable, in the Emmy nominated concert version of South Pacific, which was filmed and aired on PBS' Great Performances.
