Stage and screen star Matthew Morrison participates in the popular ALS awareness-raising ice bucket challenge as part of a new social media video now available to view.

Morrison utilized social media to share the video, writing, "Last night, I performed at a benefit for the Salk Institute for Biological Studies in La Jolla, CA. A beautiful evening supporting an amazing Institute. It is here where outstanding research is done by scientists to find cures for diseases such as ALS. I found it appropriate to accept my nomination from Dr. Ralph Opacic to partake in the #IceBucketChallenge to #StrikeOutALS and raise awareness for ALS disease. In turn, I now nominate Jane Lynch, Tony Cavalero, Mia Michaels and Harvey Weinstein. You all have 24 hours to complete this challenge. I too have made a donation to this cause. It's great to see social media being used in such a positive way. Let's find that cure! To donate to ALS research: http://alsa.org/. For more information on The Salk Institute: http://salk.edu/".
